Completely hand fabricated from sterling silver wire and sheet, this antique finish pendant holds a muted and mossy orbicular jasper cabochon. Sometimes also called "ocean jasper" for the characteristic ringed orbs that often resemble a foamy seashore. This pear cut stone has one large white eye with intriguing layers of subdued banding. I think it looks somewhat like a futuristic face. Translucent in spots, the natural stone is set in a bezel ornamented by four claw prongs at compass points. It hangs from a kinetic keystone bail and has been oxidized and the brushed for a smokey finish. Pendant hangs appoximately 1 inch and comes strung on a 16 inch sterling silver chain.
