All purchases shipping to the United States are sent via USPS Priority Mail, unless other arrangements are made. Transit times are typically 1-3 business days, however, we make no guarantees for the USPS regarding delivery windows.
Your order departs the studio fully insured and tracked to the address provided by you at credit card checkout or to that on file with Paypal. This means that in the rare event that your order does not arrive within 21 days of shipment, or it arrives damaged or incomplete due to postal mishandling, you will receive your choice of a full refund or rebuild for your order after you have filled out and returned the necessary legal affidavit to the studio, as required by our insurer.
In the event of damage or missing item(s) occurring in transit, you must retain and photograph all damaged external packaging - if possible, prior to opening.
While signature delivery may be requested at the studio's discretion at no additional cost, it is not standard. However, it is available upon request, prior to purchase. In that case, the cost is the responsibility of the buyer.
For international shipments, the order will be sent via USPS First Class International Mail, fully insured. The ability to track the parcel varies among countries and may not be available en route to you, but rest assured that your package is insured. This typically takes 2-3 weeks, but can take longer. A package is not considered lost until it has been inactive or undelivered 6 weeks from shipment. For Italy, it is 8 weeks. After the applicable delivery window has elapsed and the necessary legal affidavit has been completed and returned to the studio, you will have the choice of a full refund or rebuild of your order.
The buyer is responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees assessed to the shipment by their government.
For “Ready to Ship” pieces:
In the event that your order does not meet with your satisfaction, returns of “Ready to Ship” items, as well as “Made to Order” pieces that ARE NOT rings, will be honored when contacted within 7 days of receipt of your order. The returned item must be postmarked within 2 weeks of receipt, unless permission for a delayed return has been authorized. A refund will not be granted until the item is returned to the studio, and it must be in the condition sent and original packaging.
For all Custom pieces and “Made to Order” rings:
These items are not eligible for return or refund.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. It is highly recommended that returns be made with full insurance and tracking, as returned items lost in transit are not eligible for refund.
Returns will be issued in the method of payment in which they were received.
In matters of an incorrect size being ordered, blanket returns cannot be accepted. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide an accurate size, as it is the seller's responsibility to size accurately. However, it may be possible to size your piece for you after the fact, for a fee. Buyer would be responsible for the shipping each way.
Items that have been altered or worked on by anyone other than the seller are not eligible for return or exchange.

Phetteplace Studio is happy to offer layaway payment for those who prefer to divide their purchase into 2-3 installments. If you're interested in a particular piece and would like to inquire about layaway, feel free to contact the studio prior to purchase to create your plan. The full balance must be paid prior to any shipment, sizing, or other modification of merchandise. Deposits are non-refundable but, upon case-by-case review, may be convertible into shop credit.
