Technically a reverse watermelon tourmaline, with a green inkblot center surrounded by blushing pink, the off-set asymmetry of the hexagonal gem is a worthy complement to the evenness and order of the faceted frusta band. Size 6.
The natural and untreated polished slice weighs 4.46 carats. It has been backed by a shining silver plate, allowing the colors to look their best. To this same end, an abstract cut out has been pierced behind the verdant middle.
This ring is one of a kind by virtue of its stone, which due to its closer-to-crystal state, does exhibit some natural and superficial inclusions, impurities, and pits. they can do little to detract from the gem's vibrance.
