An oxidized sterling silver and quartz cabochon ring, inspired by Art Deco architectural details of NYC.
**A note on blackened finish: the oxidized silver finish of this piece is a topical treatment that does not permeate the ring. Therefore wear to that finish is expected. To ensure that your ring stays as black and possible for as long as possible, avoid wearing it for labor intensive tasks, remove nightly, and avoid getting it wet. Do not polish.**
I personally build each ring from raw sterling silver materials and stone at my jeweler's bench from sawing and shaping to stone setting and final finishing. Inspired by the elaborate Art Deco grate work that ornaments New York City, it's wide silhouette and glowing quartz center stone make it a great statement piece while the openness of the design (reminiscent of filigree) make it comfortable to wear and intriguing.
The ring is set with a natural and untreated clear quartz cabochon measuring 10mm round. Set in a bezel and backed with silver to ensure the stone gives you nothing but metallic white flash.
